CRL.M.C. 3455/2023 1.

The present petition has been filed under Section 482 Cr.P.C. seeking quashing of FIR No.153/2018 registered under Sections 498A/406/34 IPC at P.S. Dabri, Delhi on the ground that the parties have amicably settled their disputes.

The present FIR is an outcome of a matrimonial dispute between the complainant/respondent No. 2 (wife) and the petitioner No.1 (husband) The authenticity of the order can be re-verified from Delhi High Court Order Portal by scanning the QR code shown above.

whereas petitioner Nos.2 to 6 are the in-laws of the complainant/respondent No.2.

Learned APP for the State submits that the present petitioners are the only accused persons and respondent Nos.2 and are the complainant/victim.

Learned counsels for the parties submit that the parties have settled their dispute before the Delhi Mediation Centre, Dwarka Courts, Delhi on 19.02.2020 and that respondent No.2 has been living with the petitioners since the last 3 years.

The petitioners, who are present in the Court, have been identified by their counsel and the Investigating Officer. Respondent Nos.2 and 3, who are present in the Court, have also been identified by the Investigating Officer.

Respondent Nos.2 and 3 state that they have has no complaint against the petitioners and further state that they have entered into the aforesaid mediation settlement with their own free will, volition and without any coercion. They further state that they have no objection if the present FIR and consequent proceedings are quashed.

Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that no other proceedings are pending between the parties.

The parties shall remain bound by the statements made in Court today.

In view of the above facts and since no useful purpose will be served in continuance of the present criminal proceedings, it is directed that the aforesaid FIR and the consequent proceedings arising therefrom are hereby quashed.
