The present writ petition has been filed seeking setting aside of the demolition order dated 12th January, 2026 and the vacation notice dated 23rd April, 2026 passed by the respondent no.1/ MCD against the petitioner's property being House No. 833, Chirag Delhi, New Delhi-110017. 2.

It is the case of the petitioner that after receiving the demolition notice on 12th January, 2026, the petitioner filed an application for regularization of the unauthorized construction.

Mr. Kapil Dutta, counsel appearing on behalf of the respondent no.1/ MCD submits that the regularization application has been rejected on 19th March, 2026.

appeal before the Appellate Tribunal, MCD ('ATMCD'). 5.

Having heard the counsel for the parties, the present writ petition is disposed of while giving liberty to the petitioner to file an appeal before the ATMCD within one (1) week from today.

The respondent no.1/ MCD shall not take any coercive steps against the petitioner's property for a period of one (1) week from today. 7.
