Through the present Writ Petition, the Petitioners challenge the correctness of the order dated 27.08.2024 (hereafter 'impugned order'), passed by the learned Central Administrative Tribunal in O.A. No. 3323/2024.

Heard learned counsel representing the parties. 3.

The learned Tribunal has directed medical re-examination of the Respondent from a medical board of another hospital than the hospital where detailed medical examination and review medical examination of the Respondent had taken place. The recruitment is to the post of 'Constable' in Delhi Police.

The only basis for ordering medical re-examination are certain prior orders passed by the learned Tribunal in other cases. 5.

The Respondent has now produced a certificate from a Government hospital located in the State of Madhya Pradesh. 6.

Singh: 2024 SCC OnLine Del 7600, a Division Bench of this Court held that medical re-examination of a candidate can be allowed only in certain specified circumstances and it cannot be ordered in a routine manner.

The Respondent has failed to show any circumstance for ordering medical re-examination. It is not the case of the Respondent that previously the medical board was not consisting of an expert in the field. Another opinion taken by the candidate from a Government or a private hospital is not a good ground to order medical reexamination. 8.
