This hearing has been held through video conferencing. 2.

Pursuant to the last order dated 23rd June, 2020, it is stated that the amended memo of parties has been filed by the Petitioner. 3.

Apart from the parties mentioned in the amended memo of parties, there are two parties seeking impleadment in this case. One party is the

Tamil Nadu State Chess Association, who has moved an application for impleadment.

Ms. Neela Gokhale, ld. counsel for the Petitioner submits that the statement made by her on the last date may not be mis-construed as what she meant to say was that the Madras High Court was not seized of the issue of the Election/Returning Officer for the purpose of election. However, the suit in the said High court continues to be pending. 5.

Mr. P.S. Raman, ld. Sr. counsel for Respondent No. 3, instructed by Mr. Anupam Srivastava, submits that the Madras High Court is seized of the dispute as an application was moved on 17th June, 2020 seeking appointment of a fresh Election/Returning Officer, in view of the fact that the earlier Election/Returning Officer had personal reasons to decline. 6.

Mr. Sameer Rohtagi, ld. counsel appearing for the Rajasthan State Federation, submits that he would be seeking impleadment in this matter and also seeks an inquiry by the Government against various office bearers, prior to the conduct of the elections.

Mr. Jasmeet Singh, CGSC appearing for the Central Government submits that the conduct of elections of sporting bodies is not to be supervised by the government and it is up to private bodies to conduct elections as per their own rules and regulations. 8.

A perusal of the order dated 9th July 2020 passed by the ld. Single Judge of the Madras High Court clearly shows that there is a fresh application which has been filed, which the High Court is seized of and has listed on 29th July, 2020.

In view thereof, ld. counsel for the Petitioner seeks permission to withdraw the present petition and seeks liberty to seek all reliefs before the

Madras High Court.

Mr. Amit Singh Chauhan, ld. counsel submits that even salaries of the staff are not being paid. Let an appropriate application be moved in this regard before the Madras High Court itself as this Court is not inclined to entertain this petition.

The petition is dismissed as withdrawn with liberty to all intervenors and parties to move the Madras High Court for any remedies which they wish to seek in accordance with law. All pending applications are disposed of.
