O R D E R

Ms. Avshreya Pratap Singh Rudy, CGSC submits that she has received certain instructions. Paragraph nos. 5 to 9 of the said instructions are extracted as under:- "5. However, considering the facts and circumstances of the case and the urgency highlighted in the writ petition, the passport is being issued to the applicant today, subject to post-confirmation of the Certificate of Registration from the Ministry of Home Affairs. The passport will be printed and dispatched shortly.

It may be submitted before the Hon'ble Court that the present issuance shall remain subject to verification, and in the event any adverse report is received regarding the authenticity of the said certificate, appropriate action shall be taken in accordance with law, including impounding of the passport.

7. It is further submitted that the applicant has opted for Emigration Check Not Required (ECNR) status in the passport application' however, no supporting documentary proof (such as educational qualification certificates/ marksheets) has been furnished by the applicant in this regard.

8. In view of the above, it may be submitted that the applicant shall be required to furnish requisite ECNR proof documents as per prescribed norms. The applicant may submit the same in person at this office or may forward the ECNR proof documents via email on the official email ID of this office.

9. In the absence of such proof, the passport is liable to be issued with Emigration Check Required (ECR) status, subject to submission of valid ECNR proof at a later stage."

Ms. Rudy, on instructions, also submits that subject to production of certain documents by the petitioner, the passport shall be issued with due expedition.

The parties shall act accordingly.

In view of the aforesaid, nothing more remains to be adjudicated in the instant petition. Accordingly, the same stands disposed of along with all pending applications.
