O R D E R

% 29.06.2020 Pursuant to last order dated 25.06.2020, the State has verified the medical condition of the applicant's wife in status report dated 26.06.2020, a copy of which has been forwarded by e-mail. Let the status report be filed on record.

Ms. Neelam Sharma, learned APP submits that the Investigating Officer has also confirmed and verified from Clifton Springs Hospital, Najafgarh, New Delhi that the applicant's wife Swati Bhardwaj, aged about 31 years, requires cholecystectomy surgery, which the doctor certifies is a major surgery to resolve the issue with the wife's gall

bladder. The doctor has also certified that the wife has been given 13.07.2020 as the date for her surgery. The State has also verified that the applicant lives in Village Khera Dabar, New Delhi, along with his mother, his wife and 02 minor daughters aged 7 years and 1 year ; and that his brother works in a hospital in Ambala, Haryana. 3.

In the present application, whereby the applicant seeks extension of interim bail granted vidé order dated 12.05.2020 by a Co-ordinate Bench in Bail Application No. 877/2020 on the ground of his wife's medical condition, it is stated that the applicant was released from prison only on 26.05.2020 but that surgery could not be conducted due to severe financial constraints.

Mr. Girish Chander, learned counsel for the applicant submits that as verified in the status report, the wife's need for major surgery stands confirmed and that the surgery is now scheduled on 13.07.2020. In the circumstances, Mr. Chander prays that the interim bail granted to the applicant be extended to enable him to attend to his wife's medical needs.

Upon a conspectus of the aforesaid facts and circumstances, the interim bail granted to the applicant vidé order dated 12.05.2020 is extended by a further period of 45 (forty-five) days from the date that the previous interim bail expires, upon the same terms and conditions as contained in order dated 12.05.2020.

It is made clear that the personal bond and surety bond furnished in compliance of order dated 12.05.2020 shall stand applied-to and remain valid towards the extension of interim bail granted by this order.
