The present appeal preferred by the claimant under section 173 of the Motor Vehicles Act seeks enhancement of compensation awarded by the Tribunal vide its award dated 07.10.2022.

The parties have agreed that the appellant shall get enhanced amount of Rs.1,80,000/- as lump sum compensation over and above the Award of the Tribunal as full and final settlement. The Insurance Company is granted 06 weeks time to deposit the said amount before the concerned Tribunal failing which it shall carry interest @ 9% p.a. on delayed deposit. The Tribunal may release the said amount to the appellant subject to fulfilment of all requisite formalities.
