This is an application, under Section 29A of the Arbitration & Conciliation Act, 1996, for extension of time, for the learned Sole Arbitrator to pass an award on the claims of the petitioner, by 12 months.

Mr. Gaurav Gupta, learned Counsel appearing for the respondent, has no objection, but submits that certain counter claims, O.M.P.(MISC) (COMM.) 135/2020
preferred by his clients are also pending before the learned Sole Arbitrator.

Learned Counsel for the petitioner submits that he has moved an application, before the learned sole arbitrator, to terminate the counter claims filed by the respondents, which is also pending. 4.
Needless to say, the learned sole arbitrator would take a decision qua all claims and applications pending before him. 5.
In view of the consensus, ad idem, regarding extension of time, the time granted to the learned sole arbitrator, to adjudicate on the issues pending before him is extended by a period of 12 months from today.
