O R D E R

% 14.07.2020 Further status report has been filed by the State in terms of our last order. As per the status report, the Commissioner of Police has granted personal hearing to the petitioner, his family members and counsel as well as to the SHO concerned and examined the aspect of expenditure incurred by the petitioner for travel & stay of the police party at Jaipur and Kolkata to recover his daughter Akanksha. The learned Commissioner has found that the petitioner incurred expenditure of Rs.18,835/- on the police party - which has been found to be refundable to the petitioner. The remaining amount was expended by the police party itself.

Counsel for the petitioner states that he has been reimbursed the said amount of Rs. 18,835/- and he does not wish to pursue the present petition since his daughter has been recovered.

The investigation shall continue to be conducted by the Crime Branch. The Crime Branch has also filed a separate status report. The internal medical examination of the prosecutrix was got conducted on 30.06.2020 at Jag Pravesh Chander Hospital, Shastri Park, Delhi by the local police after the matter was taken by this Court on 29.06.2020. The statement of the prosecutrix has also been got recorded under Section 164 Cr.P.C. The examination of the accused has also been got conducted and his DNA has been obtained for examination and matching. We take the said status report on record.
