Issue notice. Ms Dhalla, learned APP accepts notice. 3.
The petitioner has filed the present petition seeking extension of interim bail that was granted by an order dated 09.06.2020. The petitioner states that he is required to make arrangements for his father and, therefore, requests that the interim bail be extended for a period of two weeks. 4.
It is seen that the petitioner was in custody for 11 years 01 months and 27 days before he was released on interim bail. 5.
Ms Dhalla, learned APP states that the matter is now fixed for final hearing and final hearing matters are being taken up by the trial court
through videoconferencing.
She states that the prosecution is ready to advance final arguments through virtual presence. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner states that the petitioner is also willing for the matter to be heard through teleconference.

In view of the above, this Court considers it apposite to extend the interim bail for a further period of two weeks subject to the same terms and conditions as stipulated in the order dated 09.06.2020. It is so directed. 7.
This Court also requests the trial court to hear the arguments finally as expeditiously as possible in any event within a period of three months from today considering that both the parties are willing to have the matter heard through virtual hearings.

The petitioner is also at liberty to approach the trial court for listing the matter for final hearing.

The petition is disposed of with the aforesaid directions. 10.
A copy of this order be communicated to the concerned jail authorities electronically.
