This is a petition filed by Petitioner - Era Infra Engineering Limited under Section 29A of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 (hereinafter, 'the Act') seeking extension of the mandate of the ld. Arbitrator.

The dispute in the present petition arises from a contract agreement dated 6th February, 2009 for "complete civil, structural, architectural works for the main plant, balance plant and various buildings including draft cooling towers at 2 X 750 MW Pragati-III, combined cycle power project" at Bawana, Delhi. It is stated that the ld. Sole Arbitrator had entered reference on 9th March, 2017. Cross examination of the Petitioner's witness is stated to have concluded on 30th November, 2022. 3.

submits that he has not been engaged in this matter and also does not have instructions. It is noticed that Mr. Pallav Kumar is the counsel representing the Respondent in the arbitration proceedings. 4.

It is seen that the matter is at the stage of cross-examination of the Respondent's witnesses. Considering the status of the matter before the ld. Arbitrator, the mandate is extended till 31st March, 2025. 5.
