The present criminal revision petitions under Sections 438 and 442 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023 (formerly Sections 397 and 401 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973) arise from proceedings initiated in C.C. No. 14957 of 2019 titled Shabnam Rashid v. Rashid Malik, under the Protection of Women from Domestic Violence Act, 2005, which was pending before Metropolitan Magistrate, South-East, Saket District Courts, New Delhi.

During the pendency of the present petitions, a comprehensive settlement was entered into between the parties, namely Shabnam Rashid and Rashid Malik, as well as one other connected party, before the Supreme Court of India. The terms of settlement were recorded in a Joint Application being I.A. No. 184094/2025 filed in Transfer Petition (Crl.) Nos. 647-651 of 2024, and the same was considered and accepted by the Supreme Court. 3.

Counsel for the parties state that in view of the above, and since the principal case [C.C. No. 14957/2019] titled "Shabnam Rashid v. Rashid Malik", which was pending before the Metropolitan Magistrate South-East, Saket District Court, New Delhi i.e., the Trial Court has now been quashed by the Supreme Court under Article 142 of the Constitution of India, and since the present Criminal Revision Petition emanates therefrom, the Petitioner is availing of the liberty granted by the Supreme Court and is moving this Court for appropriate orders.

The parties have resolved all disputes amicably; the marriage has been dissolved by mutual consent by the Supreme Court under Article 142; and no claims remain pending inter se the parties. 5.
