Aforesaid two Petitions under Section 482 Cr.P.C have been filed for quashing of FIR No.437/2016 under Section 498A/406 IPC, P.S.Palam Village on behalf of the Petitioner husband.

Mr. Shoaib Haider, learned APP appearing on advance Notice, accepts Notice on behalf of the State.

It is submitted that parties have now arrived at a Settlement dated 27.07.2024 whereby the disputes inter-se the parties have been settled. 5.
The Petitioner is present in person and the Respondent/Complainant Ms. Ritu Rai has appeared through VC and have been identified by their learned counsel and Investigating Officer concerned. The parties have endorsed the amicable settlement and accepted the terms thereof voluntarily. 6.

The parties have endorsed the Settlement and they submit that they have arrived it voluntarily without fear and coercion and have no objection to the quashing of the FIR.

₹5 lakhs towards Settlement of all the claims present, past and future has been paid which has been accepted by the Respondent No.2. The custody of the child aged 12 years is with the mother/Respondent No.2. 9.
In view of the Settlement, FIR No.437/2016 under Section 498A/406 IPC, P.S.Palam Village as well as all the proceedings emanating therefrom are hereby quashed. However, it is hereby clarified that said Settlement is without prejudice to the rights of the child, in accordance with law. 10.
The Petitions stand disposed of.
