By way of present petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India read with Section 482 Cr.P.C., the petitioner seeks extension of furlough granted to him vide order dated 21.03.2024 on the submission that the petitioner is presently admitted in hospital with the complaint of blood vomiting.

It is noted that the petitioner was released on furlough vide letter dated 21.03.2024 issued by DS-Legal, PHQ, Delhi Prisons for a period of two weeks. Issue Notice.

Learned ASC for the State accepts notice and submits that it has been verified that the petitioner is presently admitted. It is also informed that the petitioner's furlough had to expire on 05.04.2024. 5.

Considering the aforesaid, the furlough granted to the petitioner is extended by a period of one week from 05.04.2024. The petitioner is directed to surrender on 11.04.2024.

In view of the above, the petition is disposed of. 7.
