This petition is filed seeking quashing of FIR No.789/2023 PS IGI Airport under section 25 Arms Act on the basis that the petitioner was a passenger booked for flight AI 173 on 16th December 2023. The said ammunition, 4 live bullets, were recovered from her baggage. Petitioner stated that she travelled from Amritsar to Delhi and thereafter she had to travel from Delhi to San Francisco, but no cartridge had been recovered at Amritsar airport.

Counsel for petitioner submits she was not in conscious possession of said ammunition and it was found in the back pocket of trolley bag that she was carrying, which may had been introduced by somebody mischievously. 3.

In these circumstances, the petition is allowed. Consequently, the FIR No.789/2023 PS IGIG Airport under section 25 Arms Act and proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed.
