ORDER

% 23.01.2017

Petitioners have prayed for quashing of the following cross FIRs:- FIR No. 1225/2015 under Sections 354/354-A/323/341/34 IPC registered at P.S. Begum Pur on the complaint of Seema in WP(Crl.) No.210/2017.

FIR No. 1227/20 15 under Sections 308/323/427/380/34 IPC registered at P.S. Begum Pur on the complaint of Ashu Goyal in WP(Crl.) No.193/2017.

It is submitted that both the FIRs are outcome of the same incident. Petitioners and respondents in both the above petitions are living in the same area. A quarrel took place between them on some trivial matters, which resulted in registration of the cross FIRs. It is further submitted that petitioners and respondents have settled their disputes amicably with the intervention of their common family friends. Complainants/injured in both the FIRs are present in Court and submit that they have settled the matter of their own free will and without any undue pressure, force or coercion. Compromise Deeds have been placed on record. Complainants/injured in both the FIRs submit that FIRs may be quashed. Keeping in mind the fact that cross FIRs have been registered consequent to the quarrel ensued between the parties on some trivial matters

and that parties have settled their disputes, no fruitful purpose would be served to keep the criminal proceedings pending. Accordingly, in the interest of justice both the FIRs, that is, FIR No. 1225/20 15 under Sections 354/354-A/323/341/34 IPC and FIR No. 1227/2015 under Sections 308/323/427/380/34 IPC, both registered at P.S. Begum Pur and the A.

consequent proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed. Both the writ petitions are disposed of in the above terms. Miscellaneous applications are disposed of as infructuous. Dasti. A.1cT1AK9 J.
