None appears for the petitioner.

The petitioner has filed the present petition, inter alia, praying that the investigation in respect of FIR No. 408/2018 under Section 386 IPC, registered with Police Station Jamia Nagar, be transferred to any other investigating agency.

Ms Rao, learned ASC has handed over a status report which indicates that the petitioner is involved in several other cases/FIRs as well. A plain reading of the status report indicates that the offence under Section 420 IPC may not be made out against the petitioner, nonetheless, the said section has also been added in the FIR in question.

Keeping in view the totality of the circumstances of this case, this Court considers it apposite that the investigation in this case be transferred from Police Station Jamia Nagar to the concerned District Investigation

Unit. The Commissioner of Police is directed to pass necessary orders for transferring the same.

No further orders are required to be passed in this petition. 6.

The petition is disposed of.
