Issue notice to the respondent.

Learned counsel for the respondent says that he does not wish to file a reply as he does not oppose the prayer made in the petition for extension of time.

The record shows that the learned Arbitrator entered upon reference on 23.09.2017.

The record also shows that on 30.11.2018, parties mutually agreed for extension of time by further period of six months beyond the statutory period of 12 months provided under the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996.

I am told by counsel for the parties that 18 months period came to an end on 25.03.2019.

Counsel for the parties inform me that matter is at the stage of evidence.

In these circumstances, given the time and money invested by the parties in the Arbitration proceedings, I am inclined to allow the prayer made for extension of time.

Accordingly, further six months are granted for concluding arbitration proceedings and for pronouncement of the award. 10.

The time for this purpose will commence from today i.e. 16.04.2019. 11.

Consequently, the time between 25.03.2019 and today shall stand regularised.

12. The petition is disposed of in the aforesaid terms. RAJIV SHAKDHER, J.
