The present Writ Petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, read with Section 528 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023, seeking issuance of a Writ in the nature of Habeas Corpus, directing the respondent to produce Ms. Isha Mahawar, the wife of the petitioner, who is alleged to be illegally detained by her parents.

appeared before us in person. We have interacted with her in the Chamber. While she has confirmed that she is married to the petitioner, she has also stated that due to some matrimonial disputes, she, presently, does not wish to go and reside with the petitioner. 4.

We have also counselled the petitioner in this regard. 5.

Keeping in view the fact that Ms. Isha Mahawar is a major and is entitled to decide where she wants to reside, no further orders are required to be passed in the present Writ Petition. The same is, accordingly, disposed of.
