Through this petition, the Petitioner challenges the correctness of the order dated 05.03.2019, passed by the competent authority thereby terminating the services of the Petitioner. The Petitioner also challenges the order dated 22.01.2020 whereby the statutory representation filed by the Petitioner against termination of his services also came to be rejected.

As is apparent from the record, the impugned orders pertain to the years 2019 and 2020 whereas the present writ petition has been filed much later in April, 2026. Pertinently, if the Petitioner was to file a civil suit, the period of limitation would have been three years from the date of termination of his services, and the suit would have been barred by limitation.

and his wife were suffering from various diseases. 4.
This Court has taken note of the aforesaid submission. It is pertinent to note that the delay in filing the present writ petition is more than 06 years as the statutory representation preferred by the Petitioner was rejected way back on 22.01.2020. 5.
While the exercise of writ jurisdiction is not governed by any rigid law on limitation, yet inordinate delay without any proper justification may nonetheless defeat the Petitioner's right to challenge the impugned order.

In view of the above, the writ petition is dismissed solely on the ground of delay and laches.
