Since the vehicle has been detained for more than a year and the request of the petitioner for provisional release is pending consideration with the respondents, it is expected, in the facts and circumstances of the case, that the said application for provisional release be decided within a period of two weeks from today.

The existing position of law as regards the provisional release of a vehicle which is involved in an offence be taken into account by the respondents.
