O R D E R

% 09.07.2020 (hearing through Video Conferencing) The applicant vide the Bail Appln. No. 1525/2020 has sought the extension of interim bail which was expiring on 3.7.2020. Vide order dated 26.6.2020 in Bail Appln. No. 1380/2020, the applicant had been directed to surrender before the concerned Superintendent Jail on or before 03.07.2020 with it having been submitted on behalf of the applicant that he had been tested for COVID-19 and his test result is 'NEGATIVE' and as his condition was deteriorating he was advised to undergo COVID-19 and the test result of the applicant was received by the State which indicated that the petitioner is tested NEGATIVE for COVID-19 test, it was however informed by the State through the Status report for the date of hearing 7.7.2019 that the BJRM Hospital recommended that the RT-PCR test be conducted.

In as much as learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the

petitioner's report was NEGATIVE for COVID-19, but that the petitioner was still under isolation and the RT-PCR test had been conducted on 6.7.2020 at the Aruna Asaf Ali Hospital Rajpur Road, which result was to be received on 8.7.2020 and the State was directed to verify the said contention and the status report has since been submitted by the State which indicates that the result of the RT-PCR/SARS-Cov-2 test for the COVID-19 qua the applicant has been opined as NEGATIVE and the copy of the result as issued by Dr.Reena Sankhla, Spl.Pathology Department, Aruna Asaf Ali Hospital, has been placed on record which indicates the negative result for COVID-19.

Though learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the applicant is suffering from fever and thus be granted further extension of interim bail, the prayer is opposed on behalf of the State which submission is accepted and there is no ground now for the further extension of interim bail. The applicant is directed to surrender before the Superintendent Jail, Tihar on 10.7.2020 without default.

A submission is made on behalf of the petitioner that the adequate medical care be provided to the applicant by the Jail Authorities. The Superintendent Jail would ensure that the adequate medical care is provided to the applicant in view of the applicant repeatedly suffering from fever.

The petition is disposed of.
