The petitioners have filed the present petition, inter alia, praying that directions be issued to respondent nos. 1 and 3 to safeguard the life of the petitioners and their family members and to restrain respondent nos. 2, 4, 5, 6 and their agents from threatening or otherwise causing any harm to the petitioners.

Mr Avi Singh, learned ASC appearing for the State states that an NCR was lodged on the complaint of the petitioners and investigation was conducted. It appears that there are some family disputes as respondent no. 2 is the daughter-in-law of petitioner no.2; nonetheless, the petitioners have been provided mobile numbers of the Beat Staff to enable them to seek police assistance in case of any eventuality.

In view of the above, no further orders are required to be passed in this petition.

It is clarified that if the petitioners are aggrieved regarding non-filing of a FIR, they are entitled to avail alternate remedies in accordance with law. 6.
