Counsel for the Asstt. Commissioner of Wealth Tax, respondent no.1 states that death of petitioner has already been noted by the Trial Court in order dated 14th February 2024 in CA Nol.54747; accordingly, applications for abatement of proceedings have been filed by counsel for LRs. Counsel for the LRs stated that the application for abatement of proceedings should be allowed. Counsel for respondent no.1 submitted that they have no objection to proceedings against petitioner are abated. 2.

However, application was not disposed of considering that these revisions petitions were pending before this Court and further proceedings had been stayed by order dated 2nd May 2019.

Considering these circumstances, counsel for petitioner has no objection to these petitions being disposed of as having abated, due to death of petitioner and in light of applications already filed by LRs for abatement of proceedings filed before the Court of ASJ. 4.

Accordingly, all the above captioned petitions are disposed of. 5.

Pending applications are rendered infructuous. 6.

The ASJ may also dispose of applications for abatement of proceedings filed before it, in accordance with law. 7.
