% 07.05.2015 Petitioner's mother is 78 years old.
His father is 81 years old.
Petitioner's mother has undergone knee replacement surgery in the month of February, 2014. On this count, petitioner was granted furlough in the year 2014. Petitioner is the only son. Petitioner was granted furlough from time to time to take care of his ailing parents and more particularly, the mother. This fact is not in dispute. Medical papers, submitted by the petitioner along with the writ petition, have been verified by the State. Dr. B.B. Chanana, Sr. Consultant Cardiologist has made a statement before the police officer, who had gone to make enquiry, that he had examined mother of the petitioner on
12th March, 2015 as an outdoor patient and had diagnosed her to be suffering from CAD - unstable angina and had advised CAG with revascularization (stenting/surgery). This indicates that petitioner's mother is suffering from angina and requires proper medical treatment. It is the petitioner, who has to take her to the doctor and make necessary arrangements for the surgery. Accordingly, petitioner is directed to be released on parole for a period of one month from the date of his release, subject to his furnishing a personal bond in the sum of `10,000/- (Rupees Ten Thousand Only) with one surety in the like amount to the satisfaction of the Jail Superintendent. During the parole period, petitioner shall report to the Station House Officer, P.S. Maurya Enclave once a week, i.e., on Mondays at 10:00 am.
Petitioner is also directed not to leave the territorial bounds of Delhi. On completion of parole period, petitioner shall surrender before the Superintendent Jail. Writ petition is disposed of in the above terms. Copy of the order be sent to the Jail Superintendent for serving it upon the petitioner and for compliance. Dasti.
