The petitioners filed a complaint dated 26.05.2022 under Rule 22(3) of the Delhi Maintenance and Welfare of Parents and Senior Citizens Rules, 2009 before the District Magistrate, South West District, Delhi (respondent no.2) seeking eviction of their son (respondent no.3) and daughter-in-law (respondent no.4) from the subject property being D/186, Madhu Vihar, Bharat Vihar Road, New Delhi-110059. Vide order dated 06.09.2023, the said complaint was dismissed.

Aggrieved by the said order dated 06.09.2023, an appeal has been filed by the petitioners before the Appellate Authority / Divisional Commissioner (respondent no.1).

It is submitted that the petitioners are suffering gravely as a result of non-consideration of the appeal filed by the petitioners. 5.

Learned counsel for the respondent no.1 submits, on instructions, that the appeal filed by the petitioners shall be taken up on priority and dates of hearing shall be fixed with a view to ensure that the appeal be disposed of expeditiously. It is stated that an endeavour shall also be made to dispose of the appeal within a period of eight weeks from today. The said statement is taken on record.

In view of the aforesaid, no further orders are required to be passed in the present petition; the same is, accordingly, disposed of.
