Vide order dated 17.05.2024, the petitioner was granted interim bail for 10 days on the medical grounds. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner was released only on 22.05.2024. The Surgery was conducted on 29.05.2024. Learned counsel submits that as per the order dated 27.05.2014, the petitioner was to surrender on 01.06.2024. counsel, however, submits that they have moved an application for extention of interim bail. Learned counsel submits that an application was moved for extension of interim bail for a period of 25days, however, this applicaiton could not be taken up by the learned Roster Bench. Learned counsel submits that stitches are yet to be removed and, thereafter 15 days medical rest has been advised. Learned Additional PP has opposed the extension of interim bail on the ground that as per the order dated 17.05.2024, the petitioner was granted only 10 days interim bail and he should first surrender before the Jail Authorites and only thereafter could have moved an application for extension of bail.

It is a matter of record that the petitioner was granted interim bail for 10 days on 17.05.2024. Learned counsel has placed on record the documents showing that the petitioner was admitted in Indus Valley Hospitals on 29.05.2024 and discharged on 01.06.2024.

Taking into the medical conditions of the petitioner, the interim bail granted to the petitioner vide order dated 17.05.2024 is extended for 15 days i.e. till 18.06.2024, on the same terms and conditions. 4.

However, this Court has not gone into the merits of the case and the extension of 15 days has been granted only on medical ground.
