The present petition has been filed alleging willful disobedience of the order dated 31st January, 2024 passed in W.P.(C) No. 1397/2024. 2.

By way of the aforesaid order, the respondents were directed to treat the aforesaid writ petition filed by the petitioner seeking grant of extension of Registration Certificate dated 8th February, 2022 issued by the Central Bureau of Narcotics, as a representation. The same was directed to be decided within a period of four weeks.

Learned counsel appearing for the respondents has drawn the attention of this Court to the Compliance Affidavit, that has been filed on behalf of the respondent, relevant portions of which read as under: "xxx xxx xxx

That in compliance with the said order dated 09.04.2024, the representation of the Petitioner i.e., All India Spices Importers and Distributors Association, seeking extension of registration certificate beyond 30.09.2022 for importing poppy seeds for the crop year 20212022 was considered. The said representation stood disposed of vide an order passed by Respondent No. 2 dated 22.04.2024. Copy of the order dated 22.04.2024 is annexed herewith and is marked as ANNEXURE A-2.

4. It is respectfully submitted that the Respondent has complied with the aforesaid directions passed by this Hon'ble Court. Accordingly, the underlying contempt petition may be disposed of by this Hon'ble Court."

It is pointed out that pursuant to the directions of this Court, a Speaking Order dated 22nd April, 2024 has been passed by the Ministry of Finance, Department of Revenue, Government of India, by which the representation of the petitioner has been disposed of. 6.

Considering the aforesaid, no further orders are required to be passed in the present petition.

The present petition is accordingly disposed of, as having been satisfied.
