This is a petition filed under section 29A (4) of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 seeking extension of the mandate of the Arbitral Tribunal by a period of 6 months. The mandate of the Arbitral Tribunal has expired on 19.03.2025.

It is stated that the earlier appointed arbitrator could not continue with the arbitral proceedings on account of his ill health and thereafter, a new arbitrator had to be appointed.

For the said reasons, Issue notice.

Mr. Singh, learned counsel accepts notice on behalf of the respondent and has no objection to the petition being allowed. 5.

I am satisfied that sufficient cause has been shown for the delay.
