The petitioner has filed the present petition seeking interim bail for a period of two months in FIR No. 02/2020 under Section 377/342/506 IPC and Section 4 of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offices (POCSO) Act, registered with PS Shahdara, Delhi.

The petitioner claims that he is suffering from several ailments which cannot be effectively treated in prison. He prays for his release for availing medical treatment at a specialized hospital. A report indicating the medical status of the petitioner was called from the Jail Authorities. 3.
The said report indicates that the petitioner is suffering from various ailments including hypertension, dyspnoea and blood in stool. In addition, he is also suffering from swelling on his back which is increasing in size. It is stated that some of his ailments require surgery and need to be treated at a speciality hospital. It is also confirmed that the petitioner's treatment at a
specialised hospital has not been pursued in view of the prevalent pandemic. 4.
In view of the above, this Court considers it apposite to allow the present petition.

The petitioner shall be released on interim bail for a period of two months from the date of his release on his furnishing a personal bond in the sum of ₹10,000/- to the satisfaction of the Jail Superintendent. This is also subject to the following further conditions:- (a) that the petitioner shall provide a contact number and ensure that he is reachable at all times; (b) that the petitioner shall communicate telephonically with the concerned SHO on Monday of each calendar week and report his whereabouts;
(c) that the petitioner shall not leave the National Capital Territory of Delhi;
(d ) that the petitioner shall not contact the victim, the family and friends of the victim, or any of the witnesses directly or indirectly.

The petition is disposed of.
