On 15th May 2025, this Court granted interim bail to the Applicant for a period of one week from the date of his release, which is due to expire today. her by 25th May 2025. However, counsel for the Applicant informs the court that the surgery could not be performed due to the low haemoglobin levels of the Applicant's wife. The attending doctor prescribed medication for 10 days to stabilize her haemoglobin and indicated that the surgery would be scheduled once her condition improves. Consequently, through the present application, the Applicant seeks an extension of the interim bail. It is contended that the medical condition of the Applicant's wife requires his presence to assist with hospital visits and to handle the financial arrangements for her treatment. To substantiate this request, reliance is placed on the medical records annexed to the application, which include the doctor's recommendation for surgery at Highland Care Multi-Speciality Hospital.

The medical record annexed with the application, does not specify any confirmed date of schedule for surgery.

In light of the above, the Petitioner's request for extension of bail is declined. However, it is clarified that once the condition of the Petitioner's spouse stabilizes, she is declared fit for surgery, and a confirmed date for surgery is provided, the Applicant shall be at liberty to apply for suitable directions, which shall be considered on its own merits. 7.
At this stage, counsel for the Applicant seeks a day's time for the Applicant to surrender before the concerned jail authorities. 8.
In light of the above, the Applicant is directed to surrender by tomorrow. The interim bail is accordingly extended till 30th May, 2025. 9.
Copy of the order be sent to the concerned Jail Superintendent, for necessary information and compliance.
