This is a petition seeking extension of mandate of the Arbitral Tribunal for making and publishing the Arbitral Award. 5.

It is stated that the respondent had filed an SLP as a result of which the arbitration proceedings were stayed from 19.08.2021 till 06.02.2024. 6.

When the petition came up on 09.04.2024, notice was issued and on 17.05.2024, 4 weeks were granted to the respondent to file a reply. 7.

account of personal difficulty of the counsel for the respondent. 8.

Ms. Aggarwal, learned counsel for the respondent states that the reply is ready and can be filed in due course.

I am of the view that substantial time has been granted to the respondent and no reply has been filed.

Even otherwise, I am also of the view that the petitioner has shown sufficient cause of delay in making and publishing the award. 11.

For the said reasons, the petition is allowed and the mandate of the Arbitral Tribunal for making and publishing the Arbitral Award is extended by 6 months.

The period of delay till today, in view of the reasons noted above, stands regularized.

The petition is disposed of.
