CORAM:

HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE A.K. PATHAK

O R D E R

% 28.04.2015 Petitioner's son left the house at 10:00 am on 3rd March, 2014 resulting in lodging of missing report on 4th March, 2014. Subsequently, dead body of petitioner's son was found lying near Thokar No.1, Yamuna river, Burari, Delhi on 6th March, 2014 pursuant whereof DD No. 29-A was registered and handed over to SI Devender.

One year has gone by and investigation has not made any headway. Petitioner is dissatisfied with the investigation. Learned Additional Standing Counsel submits that deceased was last seen with his friends Robin Bose, Rohit Chhabra, Lalit Tyagi and Gaurav Negi at 10:00 am on 3rd March, 2014. The whereabouts of deceased could not be ascertained after 10:00 am till his dead body was recovered. It is submitted that there is an Anti Homicide Investigation Branch in

the Delhi Police, which is specialized to deal investigations of such matters. Since local police has not been able to make any progress in the matter I deem it fit to transfer the investigation to Anti Homicide Branch of Delhi Police, for further investigation.

Writ petition is disposed of in the above terms. A.K. PATHAK, J.
