1. The hearing was conducted through video conferencing. CM APPL. 14444/2020 (Exemption from Court Fee)

2. Exemption allowed, subject to the condition that the Petitioner will file the duly sworn/attested affidavit and the requisite Court fee within 72 hours from the date of resumption of the regular functioning of this Court.

3. The application stands disposed-off.

4. The petitioner is aggrieved by the non-grant of electricity connection to his premises, for which an application was filed in November 2018.

5. The learned counsel for respondent no. 1/BSES submits that at the time of filing of the application for electricity connection, the site building was still under-construction, therefore, no connection

could have been granted then. However, according to the learned counsel for the petitioner, the building has since been fully constructed and is awaiting electricity connection for comfortable habitation.

6. In view of the above, this writ petition shall be treated as the petitioner‟s representation by respondent no. 1/BSES and its decision and/or appropriate action shall be communicated to the petitioner within two weeks from today.

7. Should electricity connection be sanctioned and the petitioner be required to make any additional payments for the electricity meter and other incidental costs/charges, the same shall be paid to BSES.

8. The writ-petition is disposed-off in terms of the above.
