It is submitted that except Mr. Hare Ram Mandal, the petitioner no. 1 herein, the cases of all the other petitioners have been favourably considered, and they have been granted actual promotion, besides assigning notional promotion date.

Learned senior counsel for the petitioner contends that even the case of the petitioner no.1 is being considered on his representation and if the representation is decided in his favour, there would be no hurdle in extending the benefits as has been granted to the other petitioners. 3.

The Court takes note of the aforesaid statement, and, directs the respondents to consider the case of the Mr. Hare Ram Mandal, petitioner no. 1 herein, for extending the benefit of promotion once the representation of the petitioner is decided in his favour.

Learned senior counsel for the petitioner further submits that on the basis of the decision taken by the respondent vide order dated 23.09.2024, with respect to other petitioners, the petitioners shall also be entitled for certain monetary benefits.

The aforesaid position is not disputed by the learned counsel for the respondents. She further submits that the aforesaid aspect will have to be examined by the Department with due consideration at an appropriate level. 6.

In view of the aforesaid, this Court directs the respondents to examine the monetary entitlements and any other consequential benefits of the petitioners, and if they are found entitled, let the same be extended to them without further delay.

With the aforesaid observations, this petition stands disposed of without commenting anything on merits.
