The present Writ Petition has been filed with the following prayers: "a Issue a Writ of Mandamus and direct the Respondent to process and decide the application of the Petitioner submitted on 19.08.2023 for seeking recurring Grant-in-aid under the "Scheme of Grant-inaid to voluntary and other organizations working for scheduled castes"

for financial year 2023-24 expeditiously in a time bound manner and preferably before 15.05.2024; and b Pass any other and further order( s) as may be deemed fit"

The facts of the case reveal that the Petitioner is a Society registered under the Societies Registration Act, 1860. It is stated that the Petitioner has been receiving Grant-in-aid since 2008-09. It is stated that for 2022-23 the application of the Petitioner for grant of Grant-in-aid was rejected. stated that for the year 2023-24, the Petitioner once again made an application for grant of Grant-in-aid on 19.08.2023 but the same has yet not been decided. The Petitioner has, thereafter, approached this Court by filing the present Writ Petition.

A preliminary objection is raised by the learned Counsel for the Respondent on the ground that the Petitioner has suppressed the fact that the Petitioner's application for grant of Grant-in-aid for 2022-23 has been rejected.

In the considered opinion of this Court, the present Writ Petition concerns only with the application made by the Petitioner for grant of Grantin-aid for the year 2023-24. The fact as to whether the rejection Order for grant of Grant-in-aid for the year 2022-23 will have any effect on the application for the year 2023-24 or not is to be decided by the Respondents. 5.

Accordingly, the Writ Petition is disposed of with a direction to the Respondents to decide the application of the Petitioner for grant of Grant-inaid for the year 2023-24 within six weeks' from today without being influenced by the fact that the present Writ Petition has been disposed of by this Court.
