interest at the rate of 15% in terms of Section 34 of the Land Acquisition Act, 1894.

The claim for interest is raised for the period commencing from 28 August 2014 till 27 October 2021 with the latter being the date when the amount awarded in respect of standing structures came to be deposited under Section 30 and 31 of the Act. 3.

Mr. Pathak, learned counsel representing the Land Acquisition Collector ["LAC"], states that subject to due verification of all facts and contentions on merits being kept open, the instant writ petitions shall be treated as a representation made by the writ petitioner to be examined and disposed of by the LAC in accordance with law and with due expedition. The statement so made is recorded and accepted. 4.

These writ petitions shall stand disposed of on the aforesaid terms.
