The present petition is filed by the petitioners seeking quashing of FIR No. 801/2024 dated 18.11.2024, registered at police station Narela for the offences under Sections 80/85/3(5) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023 ('BNS'), including all proceedings emanating therefrom.

The petitioner sought quashing of the FIR on the ground that the dispute have been settled with the complainant. The FIR was registered pursuant to a complaint that the victim has committed suicide and it was suspected that the petitioners had harassed the victim which led to the victim taking her own life. It is further alleged that the possibility of the petitioners being involved in committing murder also cannot be ruled out. 3.
It is pointed that the police pursuant to completion of investigation has already filed the final report. It is stated that Petitioners No. 1 and 4 has been put in column 11 and not finding The authenticity of the order can be re-verified from Delhi High Court Order Portal by scanning the QR code shown above. any evidence against Petitioners No. 2 and 3, they have been put in column 12.

Once the investigation is complete, in the opinion of this Court, allegations of such nature cannot be put to rest only because the complainant, who was brother of the victim had decided not to pursue the proceedings.

In the opinion of this Court brother of the deceased cannot settle or put quietus to the prosecution for a crime committed against the deceased victim.

In view of the above, the petition stands dismissed. Pending application also stands disposed of.

The petitioners are at liberty to take all his arguments before the learned Trial Court at the time of arguments on charge.
