% 08.02.2018 Respondent No.2 Ms. Aakansksha Malhotra is present in court and has been identified by SI Nipender Kumar of Police Station Madhu Vihar. Respondent No. 2 says that she has settled the matter with petitioner no.1 of her own free will, voluntarily and without any undue force, pressure or coercion before the Mediation Centre, Karkardooma Courts on 25.04.2017.

Her marriage with petitioner no.1 has already been dissolved by a decree of divorce by mutual consent dated 25.11.2017 passed by Family Courts, Karkardooma Courts.

Petitioner no.1 has handed over `4,00,000/- by way of demand draft towards balance settlement amount. Respondent no.2 says that with this payment, entire settled amount of `19,00,000/- stands received and she further says that she has no objection in case FIR is quashed against the petitioner no.1 and petitioner nos. 2 and 3.

Keeping in view the settlement arrived at between the petitioner no.1 and respondent no.2 voluntarily, in the interest of justice, FIR No.217/2011 under Sections 498A/406/34 IPC and section 3/4 of Dowry Prohibition Act, registered at police station Madhu Vihar and the consequent proceedings emanating threfrom are quashed. Petition is disposed of in the above terms.
