The appointment of the Petitioner has been kept in abeyance, as his case has been referred to the Standing Screening Committee to assess his suitability in view of the pendency of an FIR. 2.

The limited prayer in the present Writ Petition is to direct the Standing Screening Committee to decide the case of the Petitioner in a time-bound manner.

Learned counsel representing the Respondent submits that the Standing Screening Committee will take a decision within a period of one (01) month from today.
