Petitioner seeks initiation of contempt proceedings against respondents for not complying with the order passed by this Court on 20.01.2020 in W.P. (C) No. 9321/2015.

By virtue of aforesaid order, respondents were directed to grant DA and RA/HA to the petitioner from the date on which he had become eligible for such allowances and there was direction to pass appropriate orders in this regard within six weeks.

Learned counsel for petitioner, in all fairness, submits that aforesaid order has been challenged by the respondents by filing a Special Leave Petition i.e. SLP (C) No. 11944/2020 and when the aforesaid SLP was taken up by the Hon'ble Supreme Court on 20.09.2021, they submitted that they would not proceed with the contempt matter in the meantime. Admittedly, such SLP is still pending adjudication. 5.

After hearing learned counsel for both the sides, the present contempt petition is disposed of with liberty to petitioner to revive the same as per the outcome of the aforesaid SLP.
