This petition is preferred on behalf of the Petitioner under Section 29A (4) and (5) of Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 ('1996 Act') seeking extension of mandate of learned Arbitral Tribunal by a period of 08 months and/or such period as the Court may deem fit. 2.

Disputes having arisen between the parties with respect to Agreement dated 29.06.2017 pertaining to 'Construction of additional floor for office accommodation and other allied works for IROAF over existing G+3 building at COFMOW office complex at Tilak Bridge, Delhi', Petitioner filed a petition in this Court under Section 11(6) of 1996 Act being ARB.P. 482/2022, which was allowed on 06.07.2022 appointing a Sole Arbitrator to adjudicate the disputes under aegis of Delhi International Arbitration Centre (DIAC).

mandate of the Arbitral Tribunal by 06 months and thereafter, oral arguments were completed and written arguments were submitted by 28.09.2024. Learned Arbitrator has reserved the Award, however, since the mandate has expired on 09.09.2024, this petition has been filed for extension of the mandate.

Mr. Ravi Ranjan, learned counsel accepts notice on behalf of the Respondent and on instructions, submits that Respondent has no objection if the mandate of the learned Arbitrator is extended. 6.

Taking into account that only the Arbitral Awad is required to be pronounced and published by the learned Arbitrator, with the consent of the parties, mandate of the learned Arbitral Tribunal is extended by a period of 03 months from 08.04.2025 and period between 10.09.2024 to 07.04.2025 is hereby regularised.

Petition is disposed of in the aforesaid terms.
