O.M.P.(MISC.)(COMM.) 295/2024 By way of the present petition filed under section 29A of the Arbitration & Conciliation Act 1996, the petitioner seeks extension of the mandate of the learned Sole Arbitrator who is seized of the disputes between the parties.

The record shows that the learned Sole Arbitrator was appointed vide order dated 21.09.2020 made in ARB.P. No. 395/2020; that the learned Arbitrator held the first procedural hearing on 19.12.2020; and the matter has been pending in arbitration ever since. 3.
After a consensual extension was granted by the parties, the mandate of the learned Sole Arbitrator was last extended by the court vide order O.M.P.(MISC.)(COMM.) 295/2024 The authenticity of the order can be re-verified from Delhi High Court Order Portal by scanning the QR code shown above. dated 04.09.2023 made in O.M.P.(MISC.)(COMM.) No.326/2023 for a period of 06 months, which extended mandate expired on 06.03.2024. 4.
Vide order dated 24.02.2024, the learned Arbitrator records that the parties are pursuing a negotiated settlement. The learned Arbitrator has also observed that in case no settlement is arrived at by end March 2024, he would proceed with the matter without any further delay. 5.
Issue notice.

Mr. Ajay Bharghava, learned counsel appears on behalf of the respondent on advance copy; accepts notice; and does not oppose the prayer made in the petition.

In view of the above, the petition is allowed, thereby extending the mandate of the learned Sole Arbitrator by another 06 months with effect from 07.03.2024; further observing that any steps taken in the arbitral proceedings in the meantime, would also stand validated and regularised.
