1. Notice. Mr. Rahul Mehra, the learned standing counsel, accepts notice.

2. The Station House Officer (SHO) of Police Station Mahindra Park has placed on record a status report dated 30th January 2018 wherein inter alia it is stated that the 23-year-old daughter of the Petitioner has married Respondent No.4, Ravinder @ Ravi, who is aged 24 years, of her own consent and free will and now wants to live with her husband only. Enclosed with the status report are the documents confirming the marriage of the daughter of the Petitioner with Respondent No.4 on 12th January 2018. The genuineness of the certificate issued from the office of the Registrar of Marriages, Sadar Fifth, Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh has been verified by the SHO.

3. Mr. Rahul Mehra, the learned Standing Counsel for the State, confirms that both Respondent No.4 and the daughter of the Petitioner are present in Court. The Petitioner's daughter has reiterated that she has married Respondent No.4 of her own free will and wishes to live with her husband.

4. In view of the above statement, learned counsel for the Petitioner states that he does not press this petition any further.

5. The petition is disposed of.

6. A copy of this order be given dasti under the signature of the Court Master.
