The petitioners have filed the present petition, inter alia, praying that the FIR No. 1165/2018 under Sections 498-A/406//34 IPC registered at P.S. Aman Vihar Outer District, Delhi be quashed.

It is stated that the petitioners as well as respondent no.2 are present in Court. The petitioners are identified by their counsel and respondent no.2 is identified by the Investigating Officer. The petitioners state that they have arrived at a settlement with the respondent no.2 before the Counselling Cell, Rohini Courts, Delhi on 06.02.2018.

In terms of the said settlement, respondent no.2 has agreed to accept a sum of ₹80,000/- in full and final settlement of all her claims. It is stated that respondent no.2 acknowledges that a sum of ₹40,000/- was paid at the material time and states that she would have no further claims against the petitioners if a sum of ₹40,000/- is paid by the petitioners. The learned
counsel appearing for the petitioners has handed over a bankers' cheque bearing No. 748521 for a sum of ₹40,000/- to respondent no.2, which she accepts in full and final settlement of all her claims. It is stated that the marriage between respondent no.2 and petitioner no.1 has since been dissolved by a decree of divorce dated 17.08.2019. 4.
In view of the statements made by the petitioners as well as respondent no.2 that they have no grievance against each other and in view of the joint request to quash the FIR in question, the present petition is allowed. The FIR No. 1165/2018 under Sections 498-A/406//34 IPC registered at P.S. Aman Vihar Outer District, Delhi is quashed. 5.
The petitioners and respondent no.2 shall sign this order as an acknowledgment of the statements recorded herein. 6.
The petition is disposed of.
