This is a petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking issuance of appropriate directions for setting aside the illegal detention of the goods and for consequent release of the said goods which have been seized vide the following seizure memos:

On the last date of hearing, i.e., 8th April, 2025, the Court had observed as under:
"3. In view of the decision of the Supreme Court in Review Petition (Civil) No.
400/2021 titled 'Commissioner of Customs v. M/s Canon India Private Limited', ('Canon-II'), the present petitions would no longer be maintainable and the Petitioners would have to avail of their remedies in accordance with law.
4. An adjournment is sought on behalf of the Petitioners on the ground that the main Counsel is not available.
5. Accordingly, in the interest of justice, list on 06th May, 2025 on Top of the Board.
6. It is made clear that no further adjournment shall be granted."

Today, ld. Counsel for the Petitioner seeks permission to withdraw the present petition.

At this point, Mr. Singla ld. SCC submits that the Panchnama and the seizure memo that have been challenged in this petition have already been considered, and a Show Cause Notice has been issued pursuant to it. Hence, the petition is infructuous.

The writ petition is, accordingly, disposed of. The pending application is also disposed of.
