The present writ petition has been filed challenging the show cause notice dated 13th April, 2026, which the petitioners submit was received by them on 20th April, 2026.

It is contended on behalf of the petitioners that demolition order has been passed by the respondent/MCD on 29th April, 2026 without giving adequate time for the petitioner to file a reply to the show cause notice. 3.

filed on 5th May, 2026. A copy of the reply to the show cause has been handed over to the concerned officer of the MCD who is present in Court, i.e. Mr. K.K. Varshney, AE (B), Central Zone, MCD. 4.

In view of the above, the demolition order dated 29th April, 2026 is set aside.

The respondent/MCD shall consider the reply filed by the petitioner on 5th May, 2026 and act in accordance with law, after giving an opportunity of personal hearing to the petitioner.

Accordingly, the present writ petition along with all pending applications stands disposed of in terms of the aforesaid directions.
