O R D E R

% 28.07.2020 The petitioners have filed this petition seeking quashing of FIR No. 0221/2020 registered under sections 498A/34 IPC at PS : Sarai Rohilla on the basis that the disputes, which arose in the context of a matrimonial relationship between petitioner No. 1 and respondent No. 2, have since been resolved.

The petition is supported by the affidavits of all petitioners. Respondent No. 2/wife has also filed an affidavit dated 08.07.2020 confirming that the parties have resolved their disputes and differences and are living peacefully as husband and wife. Respondent No. 2 further confirms in her affidavit that since she has resolved her grievances against the petitioners, she has no objection if the criminal proceedings arising from the FIR are quashed. 3.

Petitioner No. 1/Abhishek Prakash and respondent No. 2/Juli Kumari have joined the hearing via video-conferencing. Dr. M.K. Gahlaut, W.P.(CRL) 1076/2020 Page of

learned counsel for the petitioners has identified the parties; and this court has in particular interacted with respondent No. 2, who has confirmed what is stated in the petition.

Ms. Kamna Vohra, learned ASC for the State submits that since the parties are in a matrimonial relationship and have resolved their inter se disputes, the State has no objection to the FIR being quashed . 5.

For the record, since the parties are not dissolving their marriage and are continuing to live together in a matrimonial relationship, there are no other terms or conditions of the compromise. 6.

In the circumstances, this court sees no reason why the prayer should not be granted.

Accordingly, FIR No. 0221/2020 and all proceedings arising therefrom are hereby quashed.

The petition stands disposed of.
