The present writ petition has been filed seeking a direction to the Election Commission of India (ECI) to consider the petitioner's application for registration of a political party under Section 29A of the Representation of the People Act, 1951.

Mr. Sanjay Vashishtha, counsel appearing on advance notice on behalf of the respondent/ECI, has handed over two communications dated 25th November, 2025 and 13th March, 2026, in terms of which the ECI has sought certain documents from the petitioner, which are yet to be supplied. 2.1 Copies of the said communications have been handed over to the counsel for the petitioner and the same are taken on record.
