The present petition has been filed seeking quashing of FIR No.0122/2025 dated 15.03.2025 under Sections 115(2) and126(2) of BNS, 2023 registered at Police Station Alipur, Delhi and all consequential proceedings emanating therefrom, on the ground that parties have arrived at settlement.

The case set out by petitioner is that the aforesaid FIR is an outcome of a family misunderstanding between the petitioner and respondent no.2. 6.

It is stated that the respondent no.2/complainant is father-in-law of petitioner's sister. It is stated that during the pendency of proceedings, the parties have arrived at a settlement, terms whereof have been reduced in the form of a Settlement Agreement dated 28.03.2025, which has been annexed as Annexure P-2 to the present petition.

The respondent no.2/complainant namely, Mr. Ishwar Singh, who is present in Court, on a query posed by the Court, affirms the factum of settlement and states that he has no objection in case the aforesaid FIR is quashed.

In view of the above statement of respondent no.2/complainant, as well as, regard being had to the nature of allegations made, this Court is of the view that no useful purpose will be served in continuing the proceedings, rather the same will affect the family harmony of parties. 9.

Accordingly, the present petition is allowed and FIR No.0122/2025 dated 15.03.2025 under Sections 115(2) and126(2) of BNS, 2023 registered at Police Station Alipur, Delhi and all consequential proceedings emanating therefrom, is quashed.

The petition stands disposed of in the above terms. 11.
